Just watched the new SuperBowl trailer for The Last Airbender over at lastairbenderfans.com - [link]

Just a few things that stood out to me:

I'm not going to rag on the race issue thing. It's way too late to have any more discussion on that and it's just not productive. That said, I'm glad to see they were able to fit at least one more white person into the Southern Water tribe amongst all the Inuit besides Sokka and Katara. Certainly helps them stand out less.



Plus, looks like we finally get to see the Cabbage Merchant do some earthbending. Boorah!



Most excitingly, for those with careful eyes, you'll get to see a quick look at the new CGI Appa in the background of one shot:



Not only that, but if you continue to keep a sharp lookout as the shot pans right, you'll catch a glimpse of the Metal Band playing the TOTALLY appropriate HARD-ROCK-BUTT-KICKING-KUNG-FU-THRASER-ANTHEM featured in the trailer:

Seriously though, I know I'm just being mean with that one. Trailers are typically put together by a team from the studio (or even outside company) that have had nothing to do with the film's production and I'm dead certain that it won't be found anywhere in the final soundtrack. So I shouldn't throw stones for that. At least not too hard.

All said and done I honestly do have to say I think the visuals really are looking great so far.
